Terry Kelm is the President of Sunbelt Business Broker’s Re-sales program. That program is specifically geared toward assisting business owners with their transition at the end of their life cycle. Terry started with the division in 2003 and became President in 2014. Sunbelt’s Re-sales program works with over 110 trade associations, buyer groups and franchise concepts, and has been a part of several hundred transactions during Terry’s tenure. Terry is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and lives in St. Paul Minnesota with his wife and 3 daughters.

This class will cover UCON members' most frequently asked certified payroll questions and common pitfalls. Including Compliance requirements of Labor Code 1776, which is covered by certified payroll and contractor registration; apprenticeship requirements. FFC will walk attendees through finding prevailing wage determinations, completing necessary forms, and accessing other resources. The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be a moderated Q&A with Ruby Varnadore. Attendees can pre-submit their questions or ask during the session.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced an upcoming LGBTQ+ employment law workshop on August 15, 2023 with EEOC Vice Chair Jocelyn Samuels, Attorney and Legal Scholar Pamela Karlan, Gerald Bostock, the lead plaintiff in Bostock v. Clayton County, and EEOC Legal Counsel Carol Miaskoff.

The workshop will focus on the impact of the Bostock decision on LGBTQ+ rights in the workplace and what employers need to know in light of the decision. The workshop will also include a review of the most interesting and important decisions issued by the courts in the last few years and their implications for employers from EEOC Legal Counsel Carol Miaskoff.

The workshop will be held virtually on August 15, 2023 from 2pm to 4:10pm ET. Those interested in participating in the workshop must register here and pay a $145.00 per person registration fee.
